The Shimano 26 Taipan 6'6" Slow Jig Overhead Rod is a lightweight and responsive option designed for slow jigging and general inshore boat fishing.
Shimano's integrated graphite blank construction provides a lighter and more responsive feel than traditional fibreglass while retaining the toughness needed for regular saltwater use. The 6'6" length provides good control when working slow jigs while giving you plenty of feel through the blank when a fish takes.
Rated for 10–20lb braid, this rod is well suited to lighter slow jig setups targeting snapper and other inshore species. Fuji O Guides provide smooth and reliable line flow with braid, while custom EVA grips offer a comfortable and secure hold throughout a day on the water.
The two piece construction also makes it easy to transport and store without moving away from a dedicated slow jig overhead setup.
