The Shimano 25 Torium Type J 1500HGA is a compact, powerful overhead reel designed specifically for jigging. Built to deliver smooth winding performance and solid cranking power under load, it is well suited to mechanical jigging and targeting hard fighting offshore species.

The rigid HAGANE Body helps minimise flex and keeps the gearing aligned when the reel is under pressure. Shimano's Infinity Drive reduces rotational resistance to provide lighter, more powerful winding, particularly noticeable when retrieving heavy jigs or fighting fish from depth.

A high speed 6.2:1 gear ratio retrieves 117cm of line per crank, making it quick to work jigs through the water column and recover line when a fish changes direction. Cross Carbon Drag provides smooth and consistent drag performance, with a maximum drag of 10kg.

With capacity for 400m of PE3 braid, the 1500HGA offers plenty of line capacity while retaining a compact profile that's comfortable to fish with throughout a jigging session.
